We are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant for our Houston Office. Job duties include assisting PCI’s Accounting Manager with:

  • Contract Management
  • Payroll Processing
  • Invoicing and Collections
  • Expense Reimbursement Processing
  • Tax Filings
  • Bookkeeping
  • Maintenance of 3rd Party Time Keeping, Expense Reporting and Project Management software
  • Other special projects and as needed reporting assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel to include: Vlookup, Hlookup forumulas, Pivot Tables and Macro excel functions
  • Associate Degree in Accounting
  • Basic Knowledge of Accounting Inputs
  • Experience with Quickbooks
  • Experience with NetSuite OpenAir desired, but not required
  • At least 1 year of work experience in the accounting field

The PCI Oracle Database Administrator performs a wide range of database administration duties on multiple platforms (Linux and Windows). Included are:

  • Imports data utilizing the Oracle data pump utility
  • Exports data utilizing the Oracle data pump utility
  • Creates database schemas
  • Monitors database performance
  • Applies database patches
  • Installs, upgrades, and maintains Oracle RDBMS software
  • Participates in rotating 24×7 “on call” support coverage for database related issues
  • Provides production support for hosted workloads

  • Creates, maintains, and updates Oracle database automated scripts

We are seeking a person with the following qualifications:

  • 0-2+ years of recent experience in Oracle 11gR2 or 12c Database Administration
  • Experience with Oracle data pump
  • Experience with Oracle on Linux
  • Experience with Oracle on MS Windows
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) 11g is a plus; Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 11g is a strong plus
  • Oracle 11gR2 Real Application Clusters (RAC) experience is a strong plus
  • Oracle 11gR2 Data Guard experience is a plus
  • Oracle Clusterware experience is a strong plus
  • Oracle OEM 12c Cloud Control experience is a plus

Internships

The PCI College Internship program is a structured, supervised, short-term opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates to perform tasks that benefit PCI as well as providing the intern with knowledge and experience. Students in the PCI Internship Program have the opportunity to build on classroom theories to make real decisions and solve relevant problems. The typical internship at PCI lasts one semester and internships are offered in the Fall, Spring and Summer. Participating students are paid and may also receive academic credit from their university.
