Position Summary: This is a new position for our organization, and a great opportunity to lead the efforts in building our HR Compliance programs. This new role will implement and monitor HR compliance programs related to the administration of Affirmative Action Programs, Equal Employment Opportunity and Government Reporting. Will serve as a subject-matter-expert and provide guidance related to OFCCP, EEO, VEVRAA, Affirmative Action and other government compliance initiatives. Will work under the general supervision of the Human Resources Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • For PCI specific Affirmative Action Plan: Annually review the outcomes for the PCI Corporate Affirmative Action Program with the PCI HR Staff to develop goal attainment activities, conduct self-audits and complete action plans. Implement reporting and audit procedures to measure the effectiveness of programs and goal attainment activities for the PCI Corporate goals. Support with the development of annual summary documents and reports. Assist with responses to OFCCP and/or EEO requests as needed.
  • Monitor related federal, state and local regulations and provide guidance on changing regulations related to OFCCP, EEOC, VEVRAA Section 503, and other EEO Policies. Develop and provide training related to EEO, VEVRAA, AAP, Section 503, etc., to management and HR/recruiting staff.
  • Coordinate with appropriate departments and staff to complete the annual review and update to the employee handbook. Provide support to other areas of HR Compliance related to new and changing regulations and/or miscellaneous projects.
  • Track compliance poster requirements and ensure appropriate posters are displayed in all physical office locations and electronically. Prepare, edit and monitor publications related to EEO, AAP and hiring advertisements, publications and division websites for compliance.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources is required.
  • Knowledge of employment laws such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience working on, developing and implementing Affirmative Action Programs is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the impact of federal, state and local employment related laws and regulations, as well as the ability to collaborate with various leaders to achieve organizational goals.

Knowledge, Skill, Ability:

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Detail oriented, and the ability to record, organize, and communicate detail.

Internships

The PCI College Internship program is a structured, supervised, short-term opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates to perform tasks that benefit PCI as well as providing the intern with knowledge and experience. Students in the PCI Internship Program have the opportunity to build on classroom theories to make real decisions and solve relevant problems.
