PCI Goes Live in MISO South with Multiple Customers
Norman, OK — January 17, 2014 — PCI successfully went live with multiple customers over the holiday season in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) South region. The implementation of PCI’s Generation Supply Management System (GSMS) covers all facets of customers’ operations in MISO and provides business functions with solutions in several areas. These include Asset Operations, Resource Planning, Outage Management/Plant Interface, Deal Management, Data Warehouse, Energy Accounting, Front and Back-Office Market Operations as well as Portfolio Optimization. All current PCI solutions within GSMS are included in MISO South go-live implementation:

- PCI GenTrader: Generation portfolio optimization, resource planning, risk analytics and fuel nomination
- PCI GenPortal: Overall IT application platform and workflow automation
- PCI Energy Accounting: Meter data management and meter data quality
- PCI Asset Operations: Outage management, plant interfacing and GADS
- PCI Deal Management: Deal capture, tagging, checkouts, invoicing and scheduling
- PCI Data Warehouse: Operational data management and business intelligence
The implementation of this system provides customers with the ability not only to participate in the MISO market, but also to establish a foundation to create a high return on investment through analytics, automation and data management within one platform across all business functions.
