PCI Takes SPP Customers Through Another Successful Go-Live for Phase 2 – Project Pinnacle
Norman, OK – March 16, 2015 – After taking customers through a successful go–live on March 1, 2014 with the Southwest Power Pool Integrated Marketplace (SPP-IM), PCI replicated this success with the Project Pinnacle go-live a year later on March 1, 2015.
Project Pinnacle, a follow–up to the Integrated Market, included FERC mandated Regulation Compensation, Long Term congestion Rights and Market–to–Market (M2M) changes and several member-requested projects.
The changes for FERC 755 Order Regulation Compensation, Market-to-Market, involved upgrades to PCI GenManager® market interfaces, bidding and settlement processes. PCI worked closely with both the ISO and customers to upgrade bid-to-bill functionality as well as assisting clients through the market trial period and go-live.
PCI continues to be actively involved in the Change Working Group at SPP to monitor and prepare customers for upcoming member impacting changes to the Integrated Marketplace and larger scale initiatives like the Enhanced Combined Cycle Project.
