Outage Management Solutions
Outage Management includes managing outages, de-rates and temperature sensitive limits, together with GADS reporting and ISO and plant communication.
PCI Outage Management includes full support for the outage life cycle; from planning, bidding, and operations to reporting. It covers magnitudes from major forced outages to minor temperature derates. It is possible to define specific approval and reporting scenarios depending on the type of outage using the Workflow Task.
Of course, PCI Outage Management also includes analysis at every stage and magnitude. The analysis can be done either in an after-the-fact scenario, as will be described in the Post Analysis section, or in the same fashion as the Deal Analyst; i.e., using the best available data. PCI GSMS can also communicate to ISOs to provide them with outage information, whether this is before the fact or after. The ISO Interface also keeps track of the status of the outage request during the different phases of an outage, including the approval status. Currently PCI is supporting the CAISO SLIC system, ERCOT, and MISO Outage Scheduler.
Costs of outages can be analyzed after-the-fact using PCI Portfolio Solutions.
The GADS Business Analysis feature provides an enhancement of the existing PCI GenBase Unit Constraints that allows for NERC GADS compliance collection and reporting of unit outages and derates.
